Facilitator Bio
Danelle "Dani" Bryan is the new facilitator for "A Girl & A Gun" Southern Indiana Chapter! Dani is a healthcare professional by trade. Dani was born in St. Louis, MO and moved to the Southern Indiana region in 2000. After graduation from Memorial high school in 2005, Dani received various medical degrees and certifications from the University of Southern Indiana. Dani was married in 2008 to her husband Mark Bryan. Together, Dani and Mark have a 5 year old son Dillon. In 2009, Dani became a stay at home mother after suffering a major knee injury. Her husband worked nights and Dani began researching home security options now that she was no longer able to protect her child and herself. Many of these options of protection were just not proven effective in a realistic scenario. Living in the small rural community of Chandler, Indiana, Dani discovered that police response times in the area did not provide her family confidence in their safety. While her US Army veteran husband Mark belonged to a local "gun club"; the membership was primarily military veterans and police. Dani began training on various rifles and shotguns with Mark. As her confidence grew, so did her frustration with the "boys club." She was just known as "the girl" or "Mark's wife." Dani began searching for a women's league locally but, the closest was Nashville, Tennessee. Feeling defeated, she searched YouTube for female competitors, gun clubs, weapon reviews, and events. Stumbling upon "A Girl & A Gun", Dani was ecstatic to learn that such an organization would thrive in her local community. Her chapter in Southern Indiana became operational on February 7, 2013. Dani looks forward to sharing her experience and sisterhood through the organization. If you have any questions or would like to know more, email Dani!
